Hello and welcome to the first blog post of Fresh Air! The blog will be a collection of thoughts from Ryan Felgate, myself (Michael Brooks), and you. We want to share our experiences on web application development, get to know you, and learn from your advice.
We have started this weblog for two main reasons
- To talk about our Web application SmallChange (you’re welcome to sign up and use it!)
- To open our voices to the Web application community and become more involved
Who are we
Well, there are two of us and I will let Ryan introduce himself. As for me, my name is Michael and I am a Canadian student living in Regina, Saskatchewan. Currently, I am University graduate, working on a Master’s of Science in Computer Science, with my thesis focused on image processing. While my life revloves around my research work, I have very little intention of bringing that to this blog. However, I wouldn’t make any promises, in case something interesting slips through.
I am also the developer of SmallChange, which is a simple web application to track your income and expenses. In some future posts, I want to share with you what I have learned while developing the application and I am hoping to hear about your own experiences, advice, and questions.
